Actively performing for weddings, corporate and charitable events in Ottawa, Ontario since 2005, the Cadenza String Duo made their recital debut in October 2007 at l'Université de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec. This performance was soon followed by a second recital at St. Matthew's Church in Ottawa in November 2007.
In November 2007, the Cadenza String Duo was awarded a full scholarship to attend Tiberius Week 2007, a chamber music festival in Targu-Mures, Romania, where they were coached by Stefan Metz and Sandor Devich. Other coaches have included John Pohran, Karine Rousseau and Vladimir Landsman. The Cadenza String Duo currently studies with Jean-Eudes Vaillancourt at l'Université de Montréal, where Brenna and Sonya are both pursuing Baccalaureate degrees in classical music performance.
The Cadenza String Duo is available to play private concerts in Ottawa, ON and Montreal, QC.
